Objectives and functions of scientific research
I. The general orientation of scientific research and technology from 2008 to 2010
Continuing boosting and upgrading the quality, and effects of the scientific and
technological activities.
Integrating and applying scientific activities with training in order to upgrade the training
quality and effects.
Being well-prepared with the curriculum, materials, training management, staff nurturing and
facilities enhancement for credit training mode in coming time.
II. The detailed orientation of
scientific research and technology from 2008 to 2010
1. Research to innovate training content and curriculum
Research to innovate and
complete the curriculum (objectives, training content and teaching and learning
methodology) in the way of “standardizing curriculum” and “building the elements
for verifying the training quality”
a.Researching the objectives of
connecting three training forms of two year, three year and four year training;
b.Focusing on innovating the
training content;
c.Researching on the contents of
general subjects and majors;
d.Establishing some curricula in
order to improve professional skills, social skills, career morals to integrate
training and reality and nurture student virtues;
e.Diversifying training contents to
give best conditions for students to choose the professional curriculum for the
preparation of credit training;
f.Researching to innovate the cycle
of practicing teaching methods;
g.Researching to approach the modern
curricula in order to cooperate with other international institutions in
training.
2.Research the
solutions to innovate the teaching and learning methods
Boosting the teaching methods
toward the ways of promoting the initiatives and creativity of the students.
Approaching the credit training:
- Researching to implement the
methodology to innovate the teaching methods: increasing the self-learning time,
decreasing the in-class sessions, emerging the passion of learning for students,
forming habit of learning and working in group, discussion, presentation,
students with scientific research…
-Changing the ways of evaluating
the student learning results;
-Applying the IT, modern facilities
in teaching and learning;
-Making an educational environment
in school: library, technological infrastructure…

innovate the management
In order to innovate the
training content, curriculum and methodology, the management systems should be
innovated by:
- Establishing the rules,
regulations for the activities and how to integrate them;
-Researching how to innovate the
methods of monitoring the education system and administration;

analyzing the social demands of new majors

compiling teaching and learning materials by teachers;
